Evaporative cooling

Energy saving cooling

As the water from an Eco-Mist nozzle evaporates, it changes state from a liquid into a gas (water vapour). A significant amount of energy is required to facilitate this change, and this is taken from the air, in the form of heat. The measurable air temperature is therefore reduced locally, and this effect can be substantial; 10oc or more is achievable, dependant on the initial temperature and humidity.  Evaporative cooling can have many applications, which can either improve comfort levels for personnel, or increase the efficiency of a process, and these include:

the provision of comfort cooling for hot areas or processes, inside or out.
pre-cooling in ventilation plants.
pre-cooling for refrigerant based chillers or air conditioning systems.
inlet air cooling for increased power generation efficiency.

Eco-Mist systems can also be engineered for a variety of other applications, such as:

odour and dust control for waste transfer stations
misting effects for theme parks and displays
